National Notification:
In the event of an accident or serious incident involving an aircraft within the Algiers FIR, air navigation service provider must notify the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) and relevant civil and military airport authorities via the fastest means (phone, fax, or email), according to established procedures. The ANAC notification service promptly forwards the information to the head of the Directorate for Technical Investigations.
International Notification:
Article 97 of Law No. 98-06 states: “Any accident or serious incident involving an aircraft occurring within national territory, Algerian airspace, or an airspace delegated to Algeria by ICAO must be notified by the Algerian State as quickly as possible and via the fastest means to the foreign States concerned, to ICAO, and, where appropriate, to regional or international civil aviation safety bodies.”
